Holidays in North Cornwall

This is an especially exceptional region of Cornwall, and Cornwall is pretty outstanding anyhow! The North Coast is a rugged rampart against the Atlantic and lets your mind escape on imaginative tangents as you picture the history carved into the rocks.

To find out a little more about North Cornwall holidays, the Estuary Directory lets you know some of the highlights of the region around the Camel Estuary. It takes in Wadebridge, Padstow, Polzeath, Port Isaac and Rock.

This is a captivating little town, with old fishing villages, Victorian hotels, and modern homes interspersed and hidden in the woods around. The beach is beautiful and calm, stretching on to Daymer Bay and then over the coastal path to Polzeath.

Crossing the Camel Estuary is easy via the foot ferry or water taxi, and brings you to Padstow. Here is the start of the Camel Trail, a cycle route that runs along an old railway line beside the estuary to Wadebridge, then along the River Camel to Bodmin. From here it travels East to Wenfordbridge. Cycle hire is readily available along the trail. In Padstow you will find Trail Bike Hire, offering a good service and quality bikes.
